The Newark School of Violin Making.
One of the ‘big three’ making schools, (the
other two are Mittenwald in Germany and
Cremona in Italy).  The Newark School was
established by Maurice Bouette in 1972. It is
one of the main feeder colleges to the world
violin trade.
The Renato Scrollavezza's School of Violin Making,
founded in 1975 at the Conservatorio Arrigo Boito, is
one of the leading European educational institutions in
the field of violin making.

Constantly directed since its birth by M° Renato
Scrollavezza, the School of Parma is where many of
today’s best-known violin makers have learned their
craft; the School is appreciated for its great
selectivity, an emphasis placed on practical workshop
training and the attention individually reserved to each
pupil.

"Castello della Musica”, in Noceto, a town locate
about fifteen kilometres from Parma. Here the School
is organised by Liuteria Parmense with the support of
Noceto Township.
